Tranny experts?

Anyone know much about trannies? Most specifically a V5MT1 5 spd. Are these at all computer controlled? Any TCM involved?

what up kerby! No electrics? Whats a "Detection switch"? And there is one! But it has nothing to do with tranny... or engine for that matter. And its the 4WD light ;-P But as im sure you recently discovered; i've got big plans for the beast now! HA! If it seems to impossible tho; i'll hit ya up

The "dectectioon switch" is probly the clutch safety switch, the 4wd light lights up your lil fancy picture w/ the truck, and 4tires w/ a lil box in the middle. Nothing to facny electrical wise aint like they have an ECU or anything

Coo. I was just curious cause if i throw in the 74 (probably on most 72 DOHC's too...) they have TCM... and i was told i would have to convert it to work like some guy did... but yey if my tranny is mechanical entirely.
