Sorry man. Got a little confused with the topic title. Did you check the bulbs? Maybe they burnt out.

Is your old tail light housing all messed up and broken? If not, it is probably just a bulb that went out, they are easy to replace, pull out the four screws you can see that hold the light in the truck, then there are two small screw that hold the lens cover on the housing on the back, take those out and you can replace the bulbs
