alright! i removed the 2 screws above the heater control panel.. what is holding the center panel in... i cannot find any other screws and i dont want to brake it! o ya 1993 MM
Open the glove box. There is one screw just behind the glove box and another on the opposite side by the steering wheel. I just had my stereo out today.
Thanks, this will help me out too. Hopefully I don't brake anything that's not already broken.
LIES!!!!j/k man i took out the 2 screws above the heater selector switch... i took out the 2 screws on the sides and still cant get it out.. any suggestions...
If I remember right I always had to take something thin and pry it out at the very top of the radio bezel. REAL careful, I did break one so be careful.
so pry it out..... man i wish they were all over the bone yards here but they are not, i found one and we got everything we needed off it... when i try it .... IT WILL BREAK!!! I think ill look on line for a spare before i go at it. thanks for the reply
YES. YOU WILL have to use some small force to pry the the center panel loose from the dash. Use a small flat head screwdriver and pry just a little bit a few inches apart. Don't try and pry it all loose from one spot. It will break for sure. Once you get that out have fun trying to get the screws loose from the bracket that holds the radio on. Mine were VERY hard to break loose to get the radio out. I actually had to leave one of them attached to the factory radio because the head of the screw stripped out.
Correct, The first time I pryed real hard on one corner and started to hear cracking. It was just a small crack that no one ever noticed but still aggrivated me. I am sure you will have no trouble just take the guy above me's advice and you will be set.
take off the knobs on ur ac/heater panel
What still holding it in is the heater vents. They have little nubs on the top of each of them. You just have to pry on them carefully. I just scarped a D50 and tried to take the bezel out without breaking it but no luck. But at least I know what was holding now for futrue reference.
