Hello from California

Hello all,

I just bought an 88 Dodge 50 longbed.
I've been trying to figure out the size of the fuel tank. I've called dealers, and they don't know.
I have a service manual that says that a standard bed is 13.7 gal, and a longbed has 18.2 gal.
I also have a Haynes repair manual which places all models at 15.1 gallons.

Can anyone help me with this?
I'm trying to determine my fuel mileage.

I finally found it...I entered my VIN at " and it came up.
I have the 18.2 gallon tank.

Interesting though...
I just went to fill up my empty tank, and it only took just under 15 gallons.
I dont know if someone replaced the original tank or what, but the tank I now have is a 15 gallon tank.

yeah thats weird...
