hey everone, in new zealand we know these utes as the Mitsubishi L200. I was sifting the web looking for pics of other L200s and found your site,its good to see so many sweet looking trucks. I have a 1983 L200(D50) gloss black running a 4g63t. Keep up the good work.

Welcome to the site! Do the L200s look different than the US versions? I know the Mazda B series and Ford Rangers had a lot of differences especially the crew cab option which I am jealous of

hey ryan4dc, nice choice with the 4g63(turbo i hope) it makes these utes a bit of a hand full especially in the wet, how far have you got in the transplant, depending on the g/box (iv used a mitsi sigma rwd 5speed) you go with you will prob find the 4g63 ring gear on the flywheel wont b the right od to match the starter motor, let me no if u have any trouble and il try 2 help, wot did you get the 4g63 out of?

can you get drop spindles for my year over there, cant get anything here, if i had found this site while i was doing the panel work i prob would have done a 2" body drop but she all painted and back 2gether

Got as far as pulling the motor and trans out of a fwd 90 laser as well as my truck. Separated the trans and installed new throw out bearing. Intake manifold done and flywheel got the pilot bearing. Still waiting on my clutch, 3rd week now in the 1 week shipping. They put the wrong disk in my box. Also a 1.8 waterneck from the dealer. I got a recent pic in my new members page. Don't really wanna threadjack. Car came with a lot of extras though.

sounds like you got a ways to go yet, a 1990 laser? thats a ford isnt it, thought you were doing a mitsi 4g63 conversion?

1990 plymoth laser 4g63 fwd turbo. You might be thinking of a probe or something. Never really tried the gallery here. Only the mightyd50 one.

over here we have a ford lazer its a peice of shit hatch, mine came out of a 90 mitsi vr4, wot size turbo do the lazer run? wot sort of power?

I think it was rated at 190 with the td05h turbo at the fly. Eclipse/laser/talon. Same car, they dropped the laser for the 2g 1995+. Hoping for good numbers though.
