what is the diff between a wk674 and wk675 carb? I got two of these 674 carb kits and want to put one on my 88. Will it work?

The throttle linkage on the wk674 is the older rod style linkage on the pre 85 trucks. The wk675 is the newer cable style. Not 100% sure if the manifold adapters are the same on the 674 vs the 675. If you did get it to mount up then you would need to change the throttle linkage on the 674 to the new style. There is a little bit of difference in the jetting on the wk674 vs the wk675 but not much.

I noticed the throttle linkage right off. Both of these carbs are brand new so I wanted to figure this out before running fuel through one. As long as the base plates are the same on the carb I should be ok mounting it up. Do you think it would just have smaller jets being as it was for a smaller engine?

That's what it looks like to me, I had modified a 32/36 dgev from a Toyota to fit mine since I got it from a junkyard for $40. Turns out it has the same jets and all and it worked fine. From what I've read lately the wk675 needs to be tuned a little bit from the factory to suit the persons driving style. Usually means smaller jets and all. If it was me I would see if it mounts up and tie it in. The jet sizes are not a big difference between the 2. You should be able to switch throttle hardware from the old carb to the wk674 pretty easy. As far as for the smaller engine it's only a 174cc difference. I would give it a shot but keep the old carb just in case.

Ok thanks so much! I got a straight 36 weber that they have discontinued and was told it would never work so I got to searching for another and my friend had these.
