whinning sound 1235 gear

i had to change out tranny and get a whinning sound 1-3 and 5 gear anybody have a clue

Odds are, you have a bad counter shaft bearing!

My old transmission does this, too. I always wondered, since 4th is usually 1:1, isn't there something about how there's direct output with no secondary shafts or something? I can't remember.

Yes, fourth gear is straight though the main shafts, and does not use the counter shaft.
