Wheel size/fit

I was considering replacing my stock 14 inch rims with direct fit 16 inch rims, to fill out the wheel wells alittle better. My suspension is stock, not looking to drop or lower it at all. My question is; what size tire, height/width would be good without any rubbing or bottoming out problems. Thanks.

anything from a 26 to 28 inch tall tire should be fine. Up to 8 inch wide on the front and 9 rear should be good also. GM truck wheels fit with a little modification.
