im pretty sure sumone has done this on another thread but here goes anyway i need front shocks for my truck now a torsions are cranked to the max im laying on bump stops lol im going to cut them today but what is a good shock to run for that setup that wont bottom out...i mean i dont mind if i hit a big bump but not all the time lol any in put would be great thanks
1985 nissan 720 shocks are the shortest youll find unless you go toxic shocks
i went with 92 isuzu pup 4x4 front shocks... they werent as short as the 4x2 versions, and they had a little more oompf to them than the 2wd ones, which i bottomed out all the time... the 4x4 ones i bottom out every once in a while and thats cause im really movin and hit a good bump...
how far are your bumpstops trimmed leland?
the one that stops the lower control arm from travelling is the one that i completely removed. not these ones that support the upper control arm... they are still there... are gone...
oh... and when i bottom out... its not the shock im bottoming out... im hitting rubber to the inside of the metal inner fender...
im at the point where my wheel is hitting the fender i need smaller tires
still rocking factory sized rubber on your rims? the 75 profile ones...? maybe try 50 or 60 series on the stock rims?
i kinda wanted to go with a 185/65/14 but that might be a lil to much
