Okay. as much as I felt like lowering it, just not practical for me.
Although I may catch some harassment for wanting to lift a 2WD, I have my reasons.
Body lift is outta the question. WAY too pricey, wont help my clearance THAT much, and I dont have the skill to do it.
Debated about adding a leaf or two but I dont want it to ride like a skateboard either. Came up with the idea of new shackles for the rear leafs. How much lift could I get this way safely?
As for the front. Im a little nervous on foolin' with the torsion bars. Its an '89 and I can guarantee you those bolts havnt been adjusted ever. Worried the heads gonna snap off one of them and thats just a road I dont wanna go down.
Any other CHEAP and EASY lift ideas? I dont have tons of cash to throw around right now.. Obviously It wont be as high as the one below but I want as high as possible

Depending on how much rust the tortion bolts may be ok. There really isn't a cheap way to raise the front other than turning them up. Downside to that is that you will have positive camber. You can raise the rear with some shackles but I wouldn't go more than maybe 3 inches. If you have access to a welded than maybe you can go more and weld braces between the shackle arms to stiffen them up and keep them from flexing.

yeah you can find the body lift kits around. i forget how much they are, but should be under $200 for sure.

as for the torsion bolts, just soak them in wd40 or the like a couple squirts over a couple days, and then they should be no problem. i havent done much looking into it yet, but you should be able to get some rear shackles to lift up the rear, and trim up the bump stops up front a bit maybe.then get some bigger tires and that'll give you more lift
