Bring the frame in closer...

it wouldnt bother me to have a little more clearance for the wheels either.

well...started the notch project finally, got this far anyway on one side.

Is that gonna clear the cv axle?

thats kinda bad pic for looking at the axle placement. The subframe is just kinda laying down there at the moment and there is actually 6 inches from the axle to that piece

so...got a little more done





put this in just to clean it up and give her a little more strength.









still more to do but at least its taking shape.

Not too shabby...

welp...got some more done...put this in for the two rear subframe mounts.

started making the top piece for the strut towers.











this is a view from the top down of the front subrame mounts...wasnt sure how to make these mounts till i stared at it for awhile.

and then i ran out of steel , i've got alot of "filling" to do, some cross bracing, a driveshaft and some brakes and we will be good to go!!

the woman decided she wanted to try welding so i let her...she did a damn fine job too.



and some more bracing for the front sub frame mounts....this piece is further to the top and im gonna come off of this pices and go to the bottom of the front sub frame mount...will be nice and stout.
