What supporting brake components are you using for the 8.8 rear-end swap with disc?
Things like master cylinder, proportioning valve, etc..?
I would love to swap to rear disc but I'm afraid of messing up the braking balance with unmatched parts.

I'm not changing anything else. I know another Mazda guy that has the same 8.8 in his truck with the stock master cylinder and booster and it works fine. But when I put rear disc on my mustang and had to use an adjustable proportioning valve

With all that GO you are going to have a lot of WHOA!

Hopefully I can get a ride in her again next summer to get a before and after experience. Then I can cuss you and HappyTealMazda all the way home again for exposing me to a turbo B setup!

Here's a little update. The rear end is done and back in the truck. Got the drive shaft back yesterday and in the truck. Front brakes are almost done and I'm just waiting on e brake cables and lines to finish the rear. Hopefully my wheels get here in the next couple weeks and I'll be ready to roll!

The front rotors aren't painted it's an e coat that wilwood puts on them. They say as soon as the pads touch it will wear off and stay on the rest of the rotor for corrosion protection. Plus it will accent the slots and holes and look cool too

Looking good! I have some EBC rotors on my hatch that have that coating. The slots will stay dark, the pads do clean the rest of the surface on the first spin of the rotor.

Can't wait to see pics with the new wheels!

Got some different seats and got the tracks on the drivers side. Going to have them recovered in black and gray tweed to match. They are out of a early 90's mazda mx6 gt/lx
