Thanks. All the pulleys brackets etc are a graphite color. Header is semi gloss black see how that lasts.

if its a decent engine enamel it may last for a lil while. best results for headers would be powder coating.

We actually powder coat here at work. but it's not rated high enough. All the paint is high temp engine enamel, primer was too as well as clear. I hope it lasts, I spent a good deal of time and money on it. Sand blasted everything I could, prepped it best I could with limited means. It's got at least another two months before it goes back to cure hah. I figure it will take that long to finish the engine bay.

So I have a question.. next up on the project list is trailer fenders.. Do you trim the rolled edge off and weld if flush with the inside edge? I have searched for a few hours and cannot find a clear "how to"...

edit... never mind.. re read Jason's roadster show mazda thread.. showed me exactly what I needed.. I knew I had seen pictures somewhere.. this website saves the day again.. maybe start pulling the fenders tomorrow night..

Hey Frank.. thanks.. I ran into a problem on the bumper.. the previous owner cut the frame mounts off the core support.. I guess I am sticking with the Toyota bumper..

I started on the inner fenders.. 8x28 trailer fenders.. local place screwed up and the second fender was the wrong size, but I got the first one tacked in.. here are a couple pics. I wanted to keep the battery in the stock location I don't plan on running twenties or anything. I am happy with it, I have a lot of patching and welding left but its a start.
