Thanks guys.

The drift trike was fun, but short lived. I barrel rolled it once on pavement and ended up with some nasty road rash. I had $40 invested in building it, sold it for $100 on Craigslist haha.

The hurst short shifter is pretty sweet. Takes some getting used to though.
I'd love to be test driving this more, but sadly it will have to wait until Spring time. I don't have updated registration or inspection stickers, and it's just not worth the risk of getting caught on the streets without. Not to mention, we don't have insurance on it yet.
So after this show on Saturday, it goes back in the garage for the winter for some cosmetic surgery;)

Dude, this is bad ass. Can you tell me what I have to do on mine to get the tach to read like yours? Right now I have the older distributor with a remote coil, I will get teh HEI before I start driving it tho. I have an older 302 in mine. No clue what its from tho. LOL. Just got it this way a few days ago.

Im itching to drive this bitch!

The tach mod can be found in this thread:

Damn awesome! I will get on that this weekend. I'll break out the repair manual to see what wire to tap under the hood.

I found it easier to just run a tach wire from the HEI distributor to the back of the instrument cluster.

The show went well this weekend. Got a lot of positive feedback on the truck. I also drove it on the highway about 10 miles total. It was a blast!

Time to put it away for the winter and the body is going under the knife. Shaving everything and getting it ready for paint in the spring. Also going to put in a new bedfloor. I'll post progress as I go.

New wheels and tires came in yesterday. A little late for the show, but can't wait to roll them in the spring.

KMC 18x8" with +35 offset. Did not have to grind the tabs or bore the wheels either. Using 215/40/18 rubber.

One side rubs the 2wd bed fender, just barely. The other side clears. I am going to get the stock axle shortened when I am putting the RX7 LSD chunk in there over the winter.
