Inner fenders almost done

Next one im bending as much as possible from one sheet to minimize welds. Ive got about 21 foot worth of weld beads on this thing.

Had to make a sending unit flange to use my stock fuel gauge.

I need opinions. Should the gas filler cap be in the stock location or in the bed floor? If its in the stock location its going to have to be recessed about 5 inches to clear the bed when the bed opens. If its in the bed floor its will be awkward to fill and may be in the way when i have stuff in the bed. Either way kinda sucks.

Cut a door in the floor, and recess it there.
Hinge the door differently though... instead of having a hinge at the far end, move it toward the center of the door, at the 1/4 point.
Then you have a tail that you can push on to open it, and won't need a finger pull.
With your welding skills, it should turn out nice!
