holy crap b2600 coils!?

So my truck sputtered to a stop the other night. Checked fuel, and it was good. checked spark and nothing. Checked the computer and it looked ok. Checked the resistance of the coil and bam its out of tolerance. No biggy right. Checked around and a coil for a b2600 is 100 bucks? WOW. Heck the b2200 were 30. oh well, had to vent.

can you hook up one the the 'accel blaster' coils? or something similar?

i thought about it, but i didnt want to buy one to find it didnt work.
