Question About a PRE (transmissions)

hey guys this question is for the guys who own PRE's. I was wondering if the Transmissions on the Pre mazdas are a cable clutch or a hydo?

Im looking for a cable clutch transmission that will bolt up to a 2.0 motor? Is this possible?

I have three trannies out of different pre85 trucks, and they are all hydraulic. And the early transmissions had several design flaws.
