straight pipe question

whats up guys question,, i have 1990 2.2 fuel injected.. can i run it with just the cat and no muffler?? think it would sound any better.. looked in the search but couldnt find any info on this. thanks

You can do that. I wouldnt, it wont sound any better it will just be loud.

ohhh ok i know i have to hack it off after the cab but was hoping not to spend 150 bucks on a muffler but i guess you gotta do what ya gotta do... was hoping it was like my diesel straight pipe all the way..

Check your local laws it might be fine. Buy a flowmaster 40 muffler, it will be fairly cheap and will leave that deep throaty sound

i had a cherry bomb on mine sounded pretty cool

My exhaust broke just under the cab, and its loud as hell. its bassicly the downpipe and 90 degree curve. no cat, no muffler. It sounds good, its just too loud. the stereo has to be atleast half volume to be able to hear it.
