I have a timing gun and have timed imports before but I'm wondering about the timing lines on the lower crank pulley area. Does anyone know or have a map for the timing lines so i understand what mark is what degree?

Also what should the 2.2 engine be timed at?

Thanks

that link is great but i need to know what timing mark i need to be at.
in the link it doesn't show or say the degree it should be at.
Is this picture the correct degree of timing on the marks?

thanks again guys!

6 degrees BTDC is base timing.

You have a mark at TDC, and a mark at 10 BTDC

And four marks between the two.

So I suspect the third one is 6.

Okay, I have a question...
My pulley has two marks on the pulley, one white, one yellow, about 3 degrees apart.
I've never had an issue getting it timed, but never understood why there are two marks.
Does anyone know?

Do you have a 2.0?

If you do, there is no gradient scale on your lower timing cover. Just a single mark. In that case. the two marks represent timing mark and TDC. They are 6 degrees apart.

Yeah, after another look, it looks like 6.
I have a 2.0 and a 2.2 with the same pulleys.
Someone must have changed the one on the 2.2 at some point.
