my b2600i started randomly dying on me but would start right back up with the bump of the key... i havent done anything or changed anything other than welding on my exhaust and getting rid of the exhaust clamps...

Sounds like the ignition switch is going out. Happened to mine and did the same thing. Its a cylinder type switch where the key goes in held by 2 phillips screws.
