i have a 88b2200 and when i start it up, esp when its colder, it seems to idle very high, and runs like that for a while. i have to let it idle up when starting it, if i give it gas it dies.... anyone know?
welcome to the crappy world of the stock Nikki carb.Yes,they do idle hi when first started up.Yes ,they die if they arent warmed up and u start to drive them.best thing to do if u r going to keep the stock carb is to be sure the carb is clean, spray some silicon lube on the carb linkages, and give the truck a good tune-up.The permanent fix is to get a Weber carb and be done with it.BJ
yep, ive been dealing with factory carb probs for a while now, im getting a weber today finally, better all around
