Drive Shaft

My drive shaft has been making a clunking noise when I shift almost like it has a very small bit of slack to pick up before it starts to spin any suggestions.

that would most likley be a universal joint

does it pop going slow?

or while inbetween gears or on take off after stoppin?

climb under your truck yank pull and twist (any questions on that ask beau he has it down pat) on your driveline see if the slop is at the ujoint or the carrier bearing

carrier seems sloppy seems to be the weakest link on these trucks

well you have to figure that bearing prolly hasnt been changed in 20 years ...thats really not to bad

It has quite a bit of play in it now lol. It's due for a swap I have one from my old b2200 that is like new still.

Took the drive shaft out and swapped it with my old one which had a new carrier on it already. The old one was spinning in the rubber boot.
