here we go again

well my truck is overheating again the head has been redone about three weeks ago a new themostat last weekend radiator cap a couple of months ago and the radiator was recored last year and i flushed the system again yesterday because it got hot again saturday the truck sat for a year so every so often i find more corrsion any ideas on this problem even running with heat on today it still overheated

what about your clutch on the fan? those can go out which causes the fan to not operate properly.

any way to check that before i start throwing parts at it

i heard a clogged cat could also cause this problem any one else heard that

im not sure about a way to for sure test it as long as it doesnt just completely free spin. im not sure about the cat thing but one of my friends took it out of his because it was clogged and runs better but still gets hot.

well just checked the fan tnd it will spin any way you want it to so i guess it is shot

it is supposed to spin but with resistance. i dont remember how much exactly.

well the pressure leak i found on the top radiator hose neck could be my source of problems but without the cat it does run better
