A G D Choke Problem!

Okay truck engine rebuilt (YAY) now.... CHOKE IS FN STICKING it basically NEVER OPENS which in turn runs like CRAP... just wat everyone wants huh? any tips on how to get the GD choke to open?

Be sure the choke wire from the alternator to the choke is hooked up (choke is electric).Make sure the mechanism on the outside of the carb that actuates the choke is not damaged and binding.Take top off air cleaner and spray some carb cleaner on the choke butterfly pivot points followed by some silicone lube.beyond that there are some electric tests to run on the solenoid but try these first.bj
