I have an 87 b2200 and it's running really rich, gas mileage really sucks
which direction do i need to turn the set screw to lean it out a little
I'm already planning to switch out to a webber carb but in the meantime i need to get this one at least semi fixed

So basically i should just say screw the factory carb and go ahead and swap with a webber?

yes lol. im sure there is a way to do it but it will be tons of hassle and by the time you put the hours of tuning and money for replacement parts you would have been much happier with goin to a weber off the get go.

while all that is true the truck is still running extremely rich. I can smell the gas in the exhaust and see it on the ground from where the exhaust shoots it on the ground.
