drove truck to work the other day, ran fine. coming home at 1 AM the oil light starts to come on dimly and gets brighter as i slow down. accelerate again and it gradualy gets dimmer until it finally turns off. then repeat like this 45 minutes home.. let truck sit a few days and drove my car. went to start it today and it's ticking from the upper part of the engine. let it run for a bit and tick slowly goes away. oil light still on... oil is full.. any other ideas guys?

Hate to be the one to break the news, but B2200 engines are notorious for their valve lifter ticking.

As to oil pressure, I'd check the connector onto the oil sending unit for cleanliness. Next step would be to swap in a new oil sending unit.

I doubt that there's an actual oil pump issue, those are pretty simple mechanisms. And from what I've seen of how the bearings and crankshaft journals look after like 200K miles, doubt that your issue is due to worn out bearings either. Earl had posted once a photo of a leaf blocking the oil pickup screen, but I'd say that would be very rare occurrence.

i'd recommend an oil pump, it could be just wearing with age and unable to push adequate oil into the top to allow the valves to be pressurized. or you could have a clog in some part of the oil system pushing oil into your motor.

You could screw in a pressure gauge and check the oil pressure, and get a psi number.
