Thanks linn . I didn't expect it to come out that good either. Was kinda a shot in the dark. No pun intended lol. But I'm happy with the outcome. Thanks for the input.

Got my new mirrors. Ehh, I like the new style, WAAAAAY more. But they look cheap as hell, And it has holes for the bolts to go through which show.... Which I dont like. I zip tied one on this evening sorry no pics its already pretty dark, But Im going to end up shaving the holes and smoothing the plastic so I can paint to match the truck..

Hard to believe they designed it so you would have to see the mounting bolts - not very smart in this day & age.

Soooo, Started smoothing out my mirrors. Not thinking Im going to keep these. Im gonna keep looking for another pair that I like. I got the driver side perfect, but it took forever. Also.. My gf got me a pretty sweet bday gift..

The fiberglass resin didnt work out well mainly because I didnt scuff anything haha, So I sanded it all down and used glazing putty to finish it off. Smoothed guide coated, Smoothed again, Final primer is pic above..
And.. My sweet new toy!!

Nice boom stick!

If you don't like the bolts showing you could always do a tapered allen head bolt so it isn't as noticeable. I think that's what they are called.

I drilled the holes out a little so the bolts would sit lower then "glued" them in place. then filled everything in.. Im not planning on keeping these mirrors..

So I decided I dont want to do the work to make a stock hood fit and would settle for a cowl. So obviously I want the smallest cowl possible. When measuring the highest point I came to a question I need answered... Can I undo this backside of my compressor and just rotate it to make the fittings come out either to the side or on the bottom? I can get away with a 2" cowl if I can, If not Im stuck with a 3" Any help???
