Does a 1990 B2200 2.2L have two cat converters,if I take it or them off and run a straight pipe would that help gas MPG

Yes, there is a pre-cat right below the exhaust manifold, and a regular one under the truck, before the muffler.
No, it won't help with the mileage thing, unless yours are plugged up. The pre-cat will be tough to try and make a pipe for it.......better to rod it out and leave it in place.......better yet is to buy a Pacesetter header and that will eliminate the pre-cat.

Actually I have almost always noticed better mileage without a cat.
