Ok i have a 88 2.0 with a 5 speed and i am wanting to know if the transmission will bolt up to my 91 2.6?

You'll have to change the bell housing.

i have been looking for a 2.0 4x4 trans and cant find on. hell i dont know if they even make them . but from what your saying is I can just get a 2.6 and use my same 2.2 bell housing?

went out to my garage and looked at my 2.2 liter trans and compared it to my 2.6l 2wd trans and the only thing that looks the same is the shifter
