i dont have probs with mine, other then it burning oil

Only time mine burned oil was on startup after it sat for a few weeks. But getting it to start and run was the tricky part

Which 2.6 is better - the mazda or the mitsubishi ? - are they interchangeable ??

interchangeable? the mitsu has the exhaust and intake manifolds swapped sides, as well as the starter. the mitsu uses basically the same engine as the conquest and starion, and those were available with turbo!!
My only compaint about the 2.6'er is the lack of aftermarket "go-fast goodies" for it. There was someone selling headers before, but I haven't heard from them in quite some time now, so much for that one... Other than that, I love the power and torque I get with mine compared to two '86 B2000's and a '91 B2200 that I have owned/driven.
That'll cost you two cents please....
