Just purchased the last one made: 1993 Green Mazda B2200 extra cab. The original owner had a Rotory in it. Someone else bought it and put in the 2.2 again. Only problem is a Ruff Idle and white smoke.

I took out the stock carb and dropped a weber downdraft, headers later on down the road. I changed the wires, cap and rotor. Problem: it still smokes bad, white smoke that never stops.

I did a compression test and the Cylinders are even. Oil and Antifreeze is clean. Any Suggestions?

The truck is parked up...

sounds like you might have a bad head gasket or a cracked head. does it use any water?

I'm with Todd, what were the compression values?
It's usually water/coolant.
OR.....(Or here's an odd one) it's brake fluid... yup, I'm serious.
Check the brake booster vacuum line for traces of brake fluid.
But it's probably coolant
You can do the old "let her run without the rad cap" on test.
You'll get bubbles as it's usually a two way street with gasket leaks.

Compression test results:

1 - 150
2 - 150
3 - 145
4 - 145

The Truck is parked up. I will have to check the radiator next time.

Fairly even.

Is it an auto?
If there is any vacuum lines to it check that for fluid as well. (it'll also burn white)
Sorry, forgot you guys have auto trucks too! I still haven't seen one here, lol.

Oh and give the smoke a sniff.
Sweet = anti-freeze
Rich = way too rich, might smoke white
Brake/trans fluid = ? teen spirit?

Im Leaning on a cracked head but I didn't get to take it off yet. The intake gasket looks new and the ends of the head gasket too.

I hope its a bad head gasket, worse case: I will be looking for a new head.

I live in South Florida, if anyone cant point me in the direction of getting a head - it will be appreciated! There are a few head shops down here, I need to start calling them up.
