Hey I'm new here, I just bought a 91 b2200 fuel injected but it runs a little rough and jitters at low rpm and idles a little high.
I've been putting a little money and parts into it (nothing major) and it has a check engine light on...

A mechanic told me this part (pictured) was the problem and I needed to replace it. He said the OBD1 reader read Error 44 or 45 (i dont remember lol, i think he said 45) and told me it was this part that i needed to replace and called it a "Vacuum Solenoid" but no auto parts store can find it or even knows the name of it.... nor can i find it anywhere online? I don't know if the mechanic was wrong or if I just need to try and find one in a local junk yard / wrecking yard.. help please!!!!! appreciate it and thank you!

i could be wrong but your more then likely not going to find parts like that at any parts store. most parts of these older bs are getting harder and harder to find.

wellllllll shoot... I guess I'll just have to go to a pick n pull and try my luck there... maybe they will have one laying around in a truck (and hopefully it works)

thanks for the help andrew!

if anyone atleast knows the name if it let me know plz, so I can atleast call around and ask before driving there!

It's the "duty solenoid valve" used to control the EGR.

I was looking at this trying to identify that part for you. This chart is for a carb'd model but I think that the part is still the same. I think that it is the duty solenoid valve.
