1983 b2000 sundowner

This morning on the way to work I had my high beams on and when I went to click down to low beams they didn't work. They worked like 10 minutes prior.

I find it odd that both lamps would blow at the same time.

All the fuses under the hood are good. I read someplace there is another fuse box but I can't find it.

Any thoughts. I'm fixin to pull one of the head lights and check for voltage.

Check the switch itself. Take it apart and clean the contacts.

Were Sundowners headlight switches on the steering column or in the dash?

Yes, check for voltage at the headlamp terminal for those beams, but doubt that you'll find voltage there.

I suspect the headlight switch itself, it can hav econtinuity for your high beams but not make electrical contact for your low beams.

However, I don't have "hands-on" with a 1983 b2000 sundowner, so I don't know if these two headlight circuits have individual fuses, or even if there is a dimmer relay (the 1986-1993 trucks do not have a dimmer relay).

It was in the switch. We messed witg enough to shake some gunk loose and its working. Thanks for the help, ill tear into it this weekend in between hunting.

I also need to tork the head as it seems to be leaking a bit and it would explain my random water loss.
