good morning all. I was wondering if anyone would happen to know the torque specs on the front spindle nut for an 86 mazda b2000. I have to remove it to change a wheel stud and I cant find it anywhere. Thanks.

The tightening amount is whatever it takes to have the wheel bearing play set correctly.

Personally I install the spindle nut tight, then back off two or three mild turns,so that the rotor turns freely with no resistance. It is only like 1.0lbs to 1.3 lbs of torque.I do it by hand and cusser is correct I merely am descibing what I DO specifically.Easy adjustment with caliper off,and simple to do.

it should only be as tight as is takes to get out all the bearing play...after you get it that tight...which isnt very tight...turn the rotor both directions a few turns and then recheck...thats how i do...basically as described in the ASE manuals..but simplified.
