...and they keep coming!....
Starting to get everything mocked up...
That is looking sick as hell!!! Ok..I am going to be the idiot here....what is a pass through?
dam man thats some good progress.
...or "Feed Throughs"...Thats what I call them and what the places I get them from have called them....I'm sure they have other names. They are used like a bulkhead for hydraulics and pneumatics. They bolt into the frame and let the 'juice flow through without actually running the wires through the frame and HOPING it doesn't rub through the wire (or hose or air line). They're sweet looking on the frame but if you use them, make sure you get ones that are rated for the power you're using. The one pictured has a connection on the backside for the wire that's inside the frame. The big ones I'm using cost about $38 bucks a piece and the small ones about $18 each...not cheap... has them...
Great idea for a difficult problem (high amperage wire run thru the frame without worry of grounding)
So basically that threaded part is going to be charged? How would you cover that...sounds like it could easily short out on road debris. Hmmm.... I prommise I know you know what you are doing...I am just trying to learn because it sounds like a kick arse idea!
I have a question. I am not to keen on cantilever set ups. My question is arent you suposed to have a fixed pivot piont? It looks like yours are bolted on both ends. an wouldnt that sway back and forth? so i guess two just curious.
