b2600i project - TRASHED
I have actually considered running a long bed on my extended cab ( since I can get a perfect bed for $100! ). I imagine it would be as simple as stretching everything, frame rails, driveshaft, brakes, electric and fuel lines....90% of this would be simple. Just stretch it all behind the cab before the wheels....looks like that is all that is needed.
Oh and WHATS WRONG WITH PINK PRIMER???? lol
yeah i was thinking the same thing. i really like long beds i think their really cool. i just like long trucks.
i dont have a problem with pink primer.
Nothing is wrong with pink but if you want to stretch your truck look for project stretch, tavis did one and its sweet as hell
i saw that and he did a really great job.
ok so i got the bed apart today and i had a few questions. since this is my daily driver i am still planning on driving it while i continue to work on the bed. so my question is is it legal to drive with out a bed? do you need fenders or anything covering the wheels?
So I found some pictures today. none of the bed but their newer than the last ones.
I installed some fog lights and i blacked out the turn signals.
the bumper could use some paint.
I also tinted my tail lights too.
Here are the new 4x4 fenders. almost ready for paint. and i also tinted my corner lights.
they dont line up perfect on the bumper but i'm hoping to get a toyota bumper soon.
they stand out a little. the rest of the truck looks good though.
man paint those and yould be looking hell better but nice progress.
i'm waiting to get the bed finished then i'll get it all painted. i'm hoping to get it primed in 2 or 3 weeks.
anyone in the seattle area or near by wanna come out and help me do a little body work? i really want to get this thing primed and ready for paint soon.
i'd come hang out for a bit.. chris fry might too... but you would have to post up a time/day when you want to do some work... if you picked up the 4x4 bumper endcaps and threw those on your bumper would match up with the fenders... just a fyi... i did that and my ends match... i just dont have the ends completely supported so my endcaps sag...
