i wish, i still need an oil pan, timing chain, motor mounts, and clutch, and being unemployed is making hard to do anything to the truck,

its been just over 2 years since i posted in this thread, and im sad to say the motor finally died
i had the ecu rebuilt last year, prolonging the life of the truck, i was pushing the engine as far it would go, knowing it had a knock and valve tick and burning lots of oil, i was holding on to it as much as i could

long story short, like an idiot i did a big smoky burnout, killed the truck just before sema las vegas, needed wheels for work, bought an s10, won some money, all went well

im waiting for warmer weather to swap out the motor, im going through mazda withdrawal

i picked up DJM lowering control arms and belltech leafs to make the truck lower

i also picked up a set of porto walls, so i can run any tire size i want and still have the white wall

here is a video of what the poor bastard sounds like

ok boys, its been a while since ive been here and a while since i updated this thread

ive sold my s10 and bought a 3rd mazda to drive around while i got the bomber back on the road

the video i posted wasnt an engine knock, i found out after it was a destroyed water pump, but there wasnt a point on swapping it out cuz it still leaked and burned oil and wouldnt pass a smog test

i caved and went to the dealership and bought an oil pan for it, costed me $250 and apparently theres only 2 left in north america now after i bought mine, after i pulled the motor i realized the pan on the motor was in decent shape and could've used it but oh well

i finally assembled the rebuilt motor one saturday afternoon in the garage, thanks to the air conditioning and tv

after running it for a little bit the noisy lifters went away and runs pretty damn good

just needs the hood put back on, clean off the dirty hand smudges and an exhaust, and she'll be ready to drive again
