Don't know yet the walnut shells where to big (12 grit) they keep getting clogged, had to get some 80 grit glass bead. Need to smash the walnut shells to a finer grit and I'll let you know.

Walnut shells (and glass beads) are good for blasting if you just want to remove paint and light rust, while sand is better at removing thicker rust and scale. (Black Beauty is the best at rust removal, but leaves a very dimpled surface)Sand also can create a dimpled surface, where as wlanuts or glass beads wont.

LIttle more done today not much. Drilled me a 2 1/2 inch hole in the side and ran my main harness through it. I was suppose to get my new manual brake master cylinder from the UPS man today, but he knocked on my door and said I'm suppose to have a package for you but it must be on another truck cause I can't find it. I called the local hub and they are trying to locate my part......UGH. Also here is the stock pass UCA and the driver side UCA that is modified.

Little update, but no pics right now maybe in the next couple days. Got me some new re6 slam bags and a pair of trailer fenders. Cut a hole in the pass side frame so I can set my bag in closer and started to work on my bag mounts. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow and finish the pass side an have some pics for you whores!!!!

Man I'm glad I saw this thread. . . I was gonna buy the 4wd longbed from the junkyard and reluctantly convert over to 4wd metal. . . But I guess I wouldn't be too different. . . I guess I'll keep my regular ext cab bed. . .

UPDATE!! Not much of one but its something. Got the pass side bag mount made and put on. I still need to clean it up a little bit. Before anybody asks, I still have to make gussets for the UCA mount to tie it back into the frame and bag mount, so no its not done yet. Here it is. Enjoy.

I like dog gone it!!!! LOL Nah I like the idea of notching the frame...hence why mine is getting the same treatment. I also like to mount the lower plate into the lower arm instead of on top of. Cleaner and a bit better clearance with the lower bj.
