with my stock carb and a crappy aftermarket air cleaner i have some clearence issues
im putting a weber on in the next day or 2...

Sweet job innovation is the key and what ever works for you *two thumbs up* Now you should get a cowl hood and fab it on to the stock hood to clear the turbo or just cut a hole in the hood and let the world see whats learking under the hood

Great idea man, I wouldn't cut a hole in the hood and leave it exposed though. If you look into the physics of a turbo you will learn that it is more the heat that turns is rather than the exhaust flow itself. You don't want to cool it off as you drive or your lag time will increase. Just an FYI. Keep up the good work though and good luck keeping you foot out of it when you finish. -Ed

It's not gonna clear the stock hood....
It would be neat to see if you could pull off a cowl hood look, Don't really know how it would look consider how big are hoods are.
