heres what i got done today. i had a square cut out for my gas neck to poke through the bed so i could fill it up. i got a gas door off of an s-10, butchered it up, and put the hinge on that square. i didnt get it finished cause it started raining. heres what i got so far.

Bout time you had a project thread haha. What was the reasoning behind sectioning the frame rather than just doing a notch?

wanted to keep a stock bed floor and i didnt like the whole spacing the bed up to go over the notches. the floor is more stable this way. and it was cheaper....lol

Nice progress and as always, the truck is lookin great!

I too really like the Z'd frame.I don't think I've seen that done on the rear before. How much higher is the Z'd section? Does that still fit under the stock bed floor with no mods to the bed?

the rear was sectioned 4 inches. the bed still bolts up factory but it deff needed to be bd'ed. i didnt cut the bed till i got the cab done that way i cut the bed once.

That's cool. Takes a little more guts to go and Z the back half of the truck, but the end result is much more cleaner than big bulky notches that make it look all hacked up.

I give you props for that!
