Sorry to jump out of line here, I have been reading this thread on and off. Since I have never owned a hydraulic setup I have a question. The front cyclinders just slide threw the pivoting tube that acts like a donut/Cup like if you would've had springs? So if something ever happened you just unbolt it from the truck and slide the cylinder out of pivoting tube?

Your work can really make a great impression for that side of the industry. Very Clean. How well does accumulators ride?

You don't have a back wall? then just sheet metal it! nice and smooth. or get a back and section it, so the stamps look good & not cut off.

Yes, the cylinder slides through the pivoting tube. You can unbolt it and pull it out to service it.

Yes, I have a back wall. I have seen them cut and sectioned like you said, and I haves also seen them where they just drill out the spot welds and cut off the excess at the bottom. I will probably do the first one.

While the body is getting painted... I have a side project in the garage for a friend. 2008 Impala, 2 pump 4 dump, 3 optimas, & a street charger.

there is no back wall on the truck in the link that was posted. My truck does have a back wall. Go look at the link that someone posted and it will all make sense.

id say if you can, section the back wall and keep the ribs. mine isnt cut and its just slid down. it looks ok but im just lazy. i think the doing a sheet and smoothing it wont match the factory look that youre going for.

thanks for posting the link to my thread lost. and you can just section the front wall of the bed tre they unbolt which is why there isnt one on the bed that was posted i had it off so i cold make new mounting holes but i sold that bed awhile back.what i did was cut along the top of the fender wells then just cut out what i didnt need.but for a six inch drop you are gonna either have to section an inch outta the bottom of the fender well and just but it to the bed rail or you are gonna have to cut the bed rail cause its 5 inches to the bottom of the rail to the top of the fender
