yes you definitely can clear coat those things. theres a coating shop called extreme coatings between my house and where i work i pass twice a day. they have some badass coatings and they do clear.

i actually just went thru the site. kind of a lame site, but the shop is badass, and the owner alan is a real nice guy. they do real nice stuff for, like, turbonetics (i think he said), and speedway to name a few.

The 73 is lookin real sick. I started a 5" bd 76 b1600 build about 5 months ago. They are the best minis ever. Can't wait to check out after the winter. Question... how'd u get the steering to work after the bd for urs? It's becoming a problem for mine.

hey dude.. sorry i have been away so long.. been busting ass on renderings and so on....
i took out a chunk out of the gaug cluster.. and OVALED the bottom hole of the steering box........
what i have done now is... yota front clip.. custom dash.. problem soled..LOL... ( was this the redish coloured 76 i saw a month ago at a show ).. ps i hate you...LOL....there are only you and me so far that i have been abnle to track down.. and a fellow named ken down in texas with a courier.... as ide from that.. i cant seem to find any more boddied 1st gens..

yea you can clear powder coat
here is a guys hilux the frame and a door panels are clear powdercoat and yes this truck was in minitruckin'

Sweet jesus I love that Hilux. Make sure your powdercoated has quality powders, cheap ones can 'yellow' over time with exposure.
