Racer X, the only reason this truck went so far was just because of all the hidden rust. Patches of floor were gone under the carpet, and one body mount broke off from the frame. The front fenders are rusted, and the bed floor was practically gone.

Got my new headlights for this weekend, and also my carb that will probably need a rebuild. I got a Holley 650 and a set of 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee headlights to start the tubular core support.

Nice keep us updated with pics. Do you have any closeup shots of your motor mounts?

They are just a 1x2 with a sleeve welded to the frame where the old motor mounts were. I couldn't use the stock ones because they wouldn't let the motor get low enough. I'll try to get some either tonight or tomorrow for ya.

I got my Holley carb on there, and ended up with a 2.5" cowl. I just ordered my Grant combo skin, so thats a little 4 week wait now. I also shaved the little vent indents behind the x cab windows and smoothed the driprails out.

hope you plan on keeping that thing in the garage..... your doors will leak during heavy rain

Does anyone elses doors stick out at the top like that, or is something messed up with my doors?
Both sides are bent out and the top lip sticks past the driprails anyways.

Not 100% sure but from the little lip on the picture I think he kept the lip but shaved it smooth instead of having a little trench. This would move the water down and off of the top of the door sil. I could be wrong though....I am married so I am used to being wrong.

Sweet lookin truck man.Awesome work on the frame.

As for the doors, did you try adjusting the door latch on the cab or the door hinges to get them to align properly?
