Holy $%&#...the old Sub frame up front takes some balls to cut it off, and then make a new one and weld it back on....Wow... I'd be slightly nervous. Just randomly cutting the front of the frame off for something to do, and make a new one... sounds like fun.

by the way, it turned out great!

, got the axle centerline set for sure and tacked the crossmember into place and had to call it a day. wish i got a pic with my a arms mocked up. looks pretty bitchin if i do say so myself. i'm excited! it will lay out on up to a 26" tall tire and gets damn close to ten inches of lift. oh i can't wait till its done. oh, and i'm rebuilding my motor too. all new seals, gaskets, bearings, crankshaft, oilpump, water pump timing belt... and painting as i go.

ha ha that was no problem, but i was really nervous to chop my steering column up and weld it back together for some reason. it was weird.

no the motor's all stock. i wanted to, but my wife gave me a $500 limit to either bore my motor and get a gnarly cam and do that shit, or build my front end, so of course being a suspension guy i chose the latter. i ended up spending 500 at the machine shop just getting new parts and gaskets, getting my rod ends recontition and getting the block hot tanked and power honed. jeez. shoulda just done that, so now i'm in the hole a little more than a little bit.
