Yea, check the float and make sure you don't have too much going in. If you have ever had a back-fire through your carb you could have damaged the power valve in the float, atleast from what I'm told.

If your valve in the float is'nt working right or your floats are'nt adjusted right, you could be getting too much in the bowl cause the stalling/flooding on accel.

Oh, does your carb have an accel. pump? If it does, it should have a weep hole, see if it is leaking.

I know bj your not the greatest with uploading pics or videos and I myself have never uploaded a video but, with all the drag videos out there and your above comments I was thinking... post a video (with sound of course) from either under the hood or behind the wheel. Like Zac's carb issue there could be video of poppin off the air cleaner and then showing all the adjustment points.

Although the "heartmonitor" would be a great invention!!!!!

^^ thats a good idea... a quick one minute vid just pointing at adjustment spots, or even a thourough (sp?) vid. wouldn't help twisted's situation tho, but would benefit a lot of folks.

Hexorz mentioned accelerator pump.... thats what i was thinking too.

Well I just came in to report my findings. I decided to let it sit for a day or so without messing with it. Mostly because I am frustrated. So I went out today and hooked the exhaust back up, and just started it. It started and ran fine but the choke still did not kick on, and it died on its own. So I started it back up, with similar results. So I looked under the hood,, turned the idle up half a turn, moved the choke linkage with my hand, then moved the choke plate manually, stared at it, then started it again. This time it ran fine, choke activated itself, warmed up, then went down to idle without any issues.

Now all I have to do is drive it around and hope nothing else goes wrong...

Maybe. I had played with the choke several times before with no results. I didn't do anything different this time. But it ran clean enough for me to get out and go under the hood and move the choke manually as well as the throttle. No issues. We'll see tomorrow when I really drive it.

I didn't say ti was fucking stuck! Read what I wrote, I didn't really do anything and it just started! I did the same things I've been doing for the past 3 weeks with no results. Nothing different aside from letting it sit for a few days. I didn't fawking change anything.
