Ya I got a idea on how I'm going to do mine, my master cyclinder will be cake.
This is getting bodied very soon, and depending on how my rear end works out I may be looking into 22s. But anyone who knows these trucks know the rear body line is a REAL BITCH to work with. The way it curves in words factors a lot of things. Once I body it I'm going to have to narrow the rear end, if I have enough room that the wheels won't rub the bed without having to look like a pre runner I may do it. But I am still happy with the 20s don't get me wrong.
Not to mention some other goodies as well, stay tuned.
Wow havent updated this in forever.
I will try to start in order.
Pulled the back window because it was pitted pretty bad.
Tried to do the front and got a different result.
End caps for the bumper inserts shaved.
Shaved cab seam
Top of the tailgate smooth
Rear bed seam, what a PITA
Gas door, another PITA
Cab seam done and ready to be sprayed.
Door handles and locks gone
STarted on the console that I have to redo, didn't use enough activator and started to peal it off and stopped. Came out 2 days later and it was completely hard. HAHA DAMN IT
Then with all that and ready to take it on a test drive, The great demise!!!! Blowing freeze plugs out of the head, fixed it once and it did it again. So its been sitting every since.
this is so awesome, good work man!
nice work ya done so far, i wish i had a garage again lol
Lol this was all done in my aunts barn. 0 degree weather etc... But we pressed on.
good to see that you made some progress. sucks about the freeze plugs. keep us updated with pics of course.
i kinda sneak around from time to time get ideas for my mini as i start a rebuild but i have never seen this one before and may i say 28 pages of greatness and it only took me 4 hours to read it all keep up the work man love the truck got a buddy that has one love it ready to see more progress pics
Wow! Thanks for taking the time to read through it all, it was a long process.
Got a wild hair last night and went and looked at my motor, both freeze plugs were still in it. End result warped head.
Is that solid back window stock, or is it an aftermarket one?
