5.0 Mazda swap question

Do you have to change the oil pan when you do the swap? And Why? Because they are telling me at Jegs that I have to put a double sump pan and that means I have to change the Timing Cover which I already got it powder coated.

i just have a rear sump pan on my 351w.. but i also have the crossmember notched, have u test fitted the motor at all??

No I have not yet I been going by what I hear and what I have seen on here.

why would you have to Change timing chain cover for an oil pan swap? you would need to remove it and reinstall. you would change timing chain cover if you wanted to go with the short water pump assembly, but otherwise not.

If his oil pan had the dipstick tube in the side and he was converting to the timing chain cover with the dipstick tube in it, he would also need to change it, first thing u should have done would be the mock-up!!
