Boggs down...

Ok, so I got a guy wanting to trade me his 91 b2600i. He said when you push the gas down, its sort of boggs down (while driving it) as if the gas either isnt getting there, or something else.

Any idea what it could possibly be?

could be a few things I would check the fuel filter, accelerator pump could cause this, plugged up catalytic conv, poor timing will cause a flat spot in acceleration, Is the truck FI or Carbed?

Try air filter too. Take it out, 100% and try again.

2600i's are fuel injected, not carbed so no accelerator pump to worry about.I would try tuning the truck up first, plugs ,wires and dist cap. When doing that, take the MAF out and clean it with carb cleaner and clean the throttle body and butterfly as well.May help eradicate that flat spot.bj

It could also be a problem with the computer. Those computers are notorious for going bad. My truck did the same thing as that and then quit running and it ended up being the crank position sensor.

I appreciated everyones help. I'm going to go take a look at this truck tomorrow and hopefully find out just for sure what it is.

Of course, my first thought was the fuel filter. So hopefully its just that!

Thanks guys!
