So the cam in my 88 b2200 got warn down severly and i replaced it with fast freddys biggest cam. now my truck runs extremly rich. also the cam did not come with a timing recomendation. does any one have any sugestions for timing and or ideas on how to level out my fuel mixture. eventually i will get a webber and headers. but for now, till i stack some cash, i gotta try to figure out something out. any ideas
a low restriction air filter like a Kand N will get more air in the carb.Advance ur timing to 4 degrees BTDC and see if that helps.I have a Kand N with a couple 100 miles on it if u want to pay shipping 40 bucks new.Yours for 15 plus shipping.Includes the cleaning and reoiling kit.BJ
Bumpety-bump-bump-bump.ALso go to 1 heat range higher plug and gap ur plugs at .035 instead of .032.If that dont lean her out a tad, invite all ur buddies over, drink a BUNCH of SCotch and pee in the tank. That will do it for shore.Lol.BJ
thanks guys i'll try that out and let you know how it comes out
Try what out dude?Scotch pee in the tank or all that boring mechanical sh--.Lol.And ole Immortal knows about that tank stuff cause he gave me 3 Smilies.Lol.BJ
yeah the pee duh. that other stuff sounds to tricky for me haha
How do you like the cam? Once you get it running right I'd like to know what kind of increases you got - I'm considering one.

i love it so far except for the rich condition it has more power even running like it is. i can get up to 100mph with out even winding it up very much. B4 the cam it seemed to struggle to do 80mph.
were did you get your cam and any suggestions on were to find performance parts for my 92
