ok, I was driving along today and I got to a stop light and all of a sudden my idle was at 500 rpms and the truck was pretty much dieing and its never done this before. I kept my foot on the gas a bit to keep it going but when i let off the gas the truck died immediately. After this I couldnt get it started again without holding the key in start for a really long time. I got it towed home and got it started again but the idle was still around 500 rpms and shaking really bad. My dad thinks this might be a problem with the fuel pump or a block in the fuel line. Has anyone ever had this happen? or does anyone know what might be the problem?

Take it 1 step at a time to figure out the issue, and go from there, check lines? Then Filter? then fuel pump, (Manual: on back of engine, Auto: In tank (usually))

ok, so my dad came over today and we got a new fuel pump and filter and put that in. the problem seemed to be fixed and then it started doing it again after having it idle for a few mins. then we pulled the spark plugs out and they were pretty bad and the wires were breaking. we put new wires and plugs in and took it for a drive and it seemed to be better until one stop where it stalled. got it started again and kept driving and it seems to be fine now that all the sh*t is out of the system.
